- On-vehicle Propshaft balancing (with the addition of the PQ316 PicoBNC+ Optical Sensor kit).
- Measure: Accelerometers and microphones capture vibration and sound signals during a road test or in the workshop.
- Identify: Vibration order analysis identifies the key frequencies of rotating components, using reference speeds from the vehicle’s OBD communications, optical sensor or tacho input to calculate order magnitudes.
- Confirm: Check the suspect order against a known-good baseline or a second test condition to rule out other sources and pin the noise to one component. Objective evidence, not opinion.
- Verify: Repeat the test after the repair with the same setup. A report from each test gives you the before and after evidence to show the customer the fault is gone.
